
Over the last few years, there has been a considerable increase in the number of Farmers Market, most of these trade under traditional Market Rights, most which go back many years. The markets we trade were all upheld in April of 2006, More>> to ensure that there will always be outlets fot Quality Artisan Food in our area both for current as well as future producers.
In recent times we have been working with the local authorities to ensure that the current popularity of Farmers Market continues. In the early part of 2008, there are meetings planned between National and Local Government Authorities. These meetings are, as far as we can accertain, designed to assist in the development (in a controlled way) of Local Produced Food. Farmers Markets are viewed, by many, as the primary outlet for local produced food.
We look forward to the successful outcome of the forthcoming meetings and look forward to working with the designated staff to ensure the controlled development of our industry.
